Celebrating Culture & Community: The First-Ever Essex Latino Festival

The First-Ever Latino Festival in Essex, Maryland On a vibrant day in 2024, Essex, Maryland came alive with music, movement, and the rich traditions of Latin America at the first-ever Essex Latino Festival — and what a celebration it was! Hosted by Essex Community Development Corporation (Essex CDC) in partnership with Centro de Apoyo Para La Superación del Inmigrante (CAPSI), the festival was a joyful tribute to the strength and beauty of our community’s diversity. Made possible through support from the Baltimore County Government’s Department of Planning CRAG Program and generous corporate sponsors Tradepoint Atlantic and UniFirst, this inaugural event brought people together from all backgrounds to connect, dance, and celebrate Latin American heritage.
