Supporting local businesses and strengthening our community starts with sharing knowledge, building relationships, and creating opportunities to learn from one another. That’s exactly what Essex Exchange Wednesdays are all about.

Join Essex Community Development Corporation (Essex CDC) on Wednesday, August 19 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Essex CDC Office for another informative and collaborative morning designed to help local businesses, nonprofit organizations, schools, and community leaders succeed.

Learn About Grant Opportunities

This month’s featured learning session will be led by the Baltimore Community Foundation (BCF) and will focus on the Strong Schools, Strong Neighborhoods grant program.

Whether you’re preparing your first grant application or looking to strengthen an existing proposal, this session will provide valuable insight into the application process. Participants will have the opportunity to learn what makes a competitive application, better understand the funding process, and ask questions directly to the experts.

If you’ve been considering applying for grant funding, this is an excellent opportunity to gain practical guidance and increase your confidence before submitting an application.

More Than Networking

Essex Exchange Wednesday is more than a just a networking event. It’s a time and place where community members can come together to share ideas, discover resources, build partnerships, and explore strategies that strengthen Essex.

Whether you’re a small business owner, nonprofit leader, educator, entrepreneur, or simply someone invested in the future of our community, Essex Exchange Wednesdays offer meaningful opportunities to connect with others who are looking to make a difference.

Looking Ahead

We’re excited to continue expanding our educational programming throughout the year!

In September, Essex Exchange Wednesday will feature a session focused on the food and beverage industry, covering topics such as menu development, menu design, pricing strategies, food costs, and creating menus that enhance both customer experience and business profitability.
