Celebrate the Season in Essex
The holiday season is a special time in Essex, and one of the best ways to enjoy it is by visiting homes throughout our community that are beautifully decorated with festive lights. Essex CDC is excited to share this Holiday Lights Guide to help residents and visitors experience the joy, creativity, and holiday spirit of our neighborhoods.
Whether you’re taking a drive with family, walking with friends, or starting a new tradition, we hope this list helps make your season bright.
About This List
The homes included in this Holiday Lights Guide have signed up through the 2025 Essex Community Holiday Lights Guide Interest Form and have given permission for their information to be shared publicly on our website. We sincerely thank these residents for sharing their decorated homes with the community and helping spread holiday cheer throughout Essex.

Holiday Light Display Locations
The following homes have registered through the 2025 Essex Community Holiday Lights Guide Interest Form and have given permission for their information to be shared publicly. We thank these residents for helping spread holiday cheer throughout the Essex community.

About the Display:
A full-acre holiday display featuring interactive props for kids, a Santa bench, and a sleigh for festive photo opportunities. A great stop for families and photos.
Homeowner: Sharon Faloney
Location: 318 Riverside Dr., Essex MD 21221
About the Display:
Two themed yards designed for families to enjoy:
- One yard features an Under the Sea Christmas display
- The second yard is Santa’s Workshop, complete with elves, a giant sleigh for photos, a mailbox to send letters to Santa, another mailbox offering free candy canes, and many other festive details
While not the largest display, both yards are thoughtfully filled to bring joy to visiting families.

Things to Consider When Visiting
To help ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone, please keep the following in mind:
- Remember that you’re in a residential neighborhood.
- Keep your speed in check and noise to a minimum while driving or walking.
- Do not block driveways.
- Be mindful of neighbors and avoid parking in driveways at any time.
- Pay attention to the weather.
- Many displays may close if it is too wet (rain) or too windy. Some homeowners post updates online, so be sure to check before heading out.
- Insider tip: If you want to avoid crowds, try not to visit the weekend before Christmas. According to homeowners, that tends to be the busiest time.
