Essex Community Development Corporation is excited to host our FREE Essex Outdoor Movie Nights on select Fridays! Grab your chairs, blankets, dinner, and favorite snacks, and head to Essex (locations vary) for an evening of fun under the stars. We’ve got everything set up for a great time—just bring your loved ones and enjoy a movie with the whole community!

Movie Night Venues
In 2023, Movie Nights were held on the parking lot of the Essex Senior Center on Dorsey Ave. In 2024, we rotated locations so as to reach different areas of Essex. 2024 locations include: Mars Estates Rec Activity Center, Church of the Harbor, and Essex Senior Center.
Food Trucks and Concessions
At our past movie nights we’ve had food trucks and vendors from Essex in attendance to provide some goodies to attendees. Food trucks/concessions in 2024 include: B’s Brick Oven Pizza, Bully Boss Burgers, Fat Boys Street Eats, Icy Delights, Pinkee’s Sweet Treats, and Weis Market.
What to Bring to Movie Nights
Be sure to bring your own chairs and blankets to get comfy. Feel free to pack your favorite snacks, candy, dinner, and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during the movie. We want everyone to feel at home, so come prepared for a cozy evening. This is a family-friendly event so no smoking or alcoholic beverages of any kind. And please leave animals at home.
